Inside Westlake's New Luxury Enclaves
Posted
From the Catalan-inspired streets of Entrada to the gated homesites of Westlake Ranch, Westlake's next chapter is being written in stone and stucco.
A Different Kind of Growth
Westlake's luxury landscape is being reshaped by a new generation of architectural districts. Entrada brings a Catalan and Southern European design language to North Texas, built around villas, a canal, plazas, and a walkable town center. Just down the road, Westlake Ranch offers something entirely different: 188 acres divided into only 96 homesites, designed for privacy and space rather than density.
Both developments point to the same underlying shift. Westlake buyers increasingly want architectural character and land, not just square footage inside a subdivision wall.
What Sets Westlake Apart
Homes in Westlake range from roughly $2M to more than $15M, and the market here is defined less by volume than by control. Smaller lot counts, gated and enclave-style neighborhoods, and strict architectural guidelines all work toward the same goal: privacy. Established communities like Vaquero, built around its own private golf club, set the tone for what buyers expect here — homes that feel private even within a shared community.
For a custom builder, that context matters. A home built for Westlake has to hold its own architecturally next to Entrada's Mediterranean influence and Vaquero's estate-scale lots, while still feeling like it was designed for one family, not a developer's plan.
